Sani Club is a 5-star resort hotel, at Sani Kassandra Chalkidiki, in Greece. Is located on a verdant slope of 94.000m2 with a magnificent beach and stunning view of the Aegean Sea and Olympus mountain. It was designed in modern architecture and started operating in the early ’70s. In 2015, Nimand Architects started to design the hotel refurbishment and extension, which included the renovation of the existing buildings and also the design and construction of new bungalows and communal buildings together with improvements of the surrounding area. The hotel refurbishment was completed in 2018.

The architectural design emphasized the preservation of the modern architecture of the hotel, maintaining the clear lines and the simple geometric volumes of the buildings among the tall trees of the natural terrain. The use of local and contemporary materials harmonizes perfectly with the natural environment, keeping the beauty of the landscape untouched. The calm color palette that also has been used attributing simplicity and tranquility to all public and private spaces.
Nimand Architects also placed particular emphasis on bioclimatic design elements plus modern technologies of natural ventilation and cooling, in combination with the use of passive shading systems and green roofs to reduce energy consumption.
The hotel complex a now includes a three-story beachfront main building, with a reception area, lobby lounge, two bars, restaurant, gym, kids club, and a mini-market, as well as 17 ground floor and 48 two-story fully renovated bungalows with 21 private heated pools, with a unique orientation of the sea view. Also includes 3 new restaurant buildings, 1 new welcome lounge building, 1 new indoor pool building, 1 ground floor Spa building, 3 large communal heated swimming pool, and a playground.
The surrounding area is very important for the resort experience, so a new internal road network was designed with interesting pedestrian paths between the flower gardens and under the pergolas for those who like to walk, together with a light traffic network of electric club-cars to serve all residents.
