Ikos Dassia

Designing a hotel complex can be a great challenge for an architect. Especially when it is a five-star resort. Situated along the bay of Dassia in the island of Corfu, Ikos Dassia is the third resort of the Ikos collection of luxury all-inclusive beachfront resorts. The design philosophy aims to promote the unique feeling of the place, creating multiple environments that embrace high-quality hospitality services.

The hotel comprises two six-story main buildings, Sea and Sky, villas, and bungalows. Different types of accommodation that offer a multitude of views and outdoor spaces were designed. From deluxe two-bedroom suites with private pools, suites with lush private gardens, to rooms with large balconies and astonishing sea or mountain views, all the rooms offer premium design, delicate luxury, and affluent comfort.

The guest is welcomed at the two reception lobbies and lobby bars. The boho-chic decoration adds to the relaxed and friendly, yet exclusive feeling. Τhe water element is ever-present, as vast swimming pools and exclusive pool bars delicately lay around magnificent gardens and elegant outdoor spaces. The all-inclusive experience thrives at the 8 restaurants, each one with a distinct menu curated by Michelin starred chefs.

An open-air theatre and a disco complete the recreation facilities. The two spa complexes with pools, relaxation areas, wet areas, and treatment cabins effuse an atmosphere of luxury and serenity. As a family-oriented resort, a lot of attention has been given to children. A kids club, a kid’s pool, an impressive splash pad complex, and a playground offer the little guests a unique vacation.

The client’s request was to create a small world within a world, where the guest blends into a carefree luxurious lifestyle. The delicate balance between functionality and aesthetics as well as attention to detail, define a contemporary resort by Ikos Resorts and Nimand Architects, which is among the top 25 hotels worldwide, as voted by travelers on Tripadvisor.
